I wandered around downtown Denver for a bit and happened upon these flowers. I was challenging myself to use only one lens, and it was a lens I don't usually use. It was fun and I got to learn some new things with it.
If you're curious, it's Sony's SAM 30mm f2.8 lens. It's not a prime lens, but it's pretty darn good.

It makes you wonder what the back story is. I love the title, because you can either see it as a rejected love, perhaps a proposal that never went to plan, or the death of a loved one. Either way it's "lost love" and I like the ambiguity of the situation, it makes it seem all the more real and sad, which really hits home. Great shot!
